This is one of my older dogs who got a new home
HJust dropping you a note to tell you what a wonderful little fellow "Riley" is! He goes everywhere with me and is an exceptional puppy. He has already created quite a following around the campground as that everybody knows his name and can't believe how gentle and well behaved his disposition is. He went to the vet on 6/09 and is already 12.8 lbs , he has had his second shots and goes on the 29th for his third. Other than the occasional late-nite accident he has gotten very good at telling us when to let him out ! Thanks again for the GREAT pick. Terry Thompson P.S. Watching the web site for the new litter!
Marilyn
Just wanted to tell you that Mango (STAR and Capt Morgan) just had his first
vet appt. Granted it was a bit later than we had anticipated but he is
wonderful. The vet was very impressed with him. She told me to tell you Thank
You. She sees alot of terrible things come thru her door but Mango was
perfection as she put it. The perfect sign of health and his disposition was
exactly what she expects from a golden. She said you obviously take great
pride in your calling. She wished more people were like you. So from my heart
and Mango and my vet a big Thank You is in order. I will send pictures as
he progresses. Oh by the way ,he is 14 lbs at 10 wks. She said he was cute and
chubby. I jut.

Dear Marilyn,
Here are more recent photos of Hunter. He is now 19 weeks old and growing bigger every day. The vet said to expect him to get to 100 lbs of golden love. You will have to right click twice to open
Take care.

Marilyn,
Hi. I hope you remember us. We got own wonderful Burton from you last year. He is so docile & loving. He has a great temperament with all people and all other animals. His mother is Rachael and his father is Klondike Bear. I noticed that Rachael’s web page is in black. Did something happen to her? I hope not.
Sharon Mullen

Hello Marilyn,
' hope all is well in Newry.....here is a photo of Pax from his first St.

Charlotte, Nic, Jeff and I just wanted to say a big
thank you. Black tie ...alias Cody Rogers is doing fine and is a sheer joy, a
ray of sunshine . He slept most of the six hours home from Newry to Bethlehem
and had all the ladies at the Wachovia drive in Umming and aghing...
I will never forget the moment when Charlotte walked through the door with
Cody snuggled in her arms ..the tears streeming down our faces of grief gone
by and the really hard year health wise and the loss Of Rudy our six year
Golden old very suddenly in 2008 ..he melted our hearts and has completley
turned our house updside down for now and we love it. Cody settled in his
crate overnight and had no problem chowing down and drinking. I just cant get
over how well he is doing with his potty trainning , clean crate and scratches
the door to go out...seriously no kidding. He is such a quick learner!
Congratulations on the new litter of Klondike and Meringue and Way to Go
Steelers, they pulled that last touch down out of no where...
I will keep in touch as he grows , he is off for a vet check 020309 ..

Hi Marilyn,
We got two puppies from you in February 2008. They were from Sweet Pea and
Captain Morgan's litter. We got a brother and sister. We named them Jackson
and Rosebud. They are wonderful additions to our family. We have a son (12)
and a daughter (10). We have kids over here constantly! Last week, we had 30
kids over to decorate gingerbread houses. The dogs love kids, so they are no
problem! They sleep with the kids (they love sleepovers and jump on the air
mattress when it is filling up). We live in Burke, VA. We have a lake nearby
and they swim in it. They have been to Myrtle Beach and played in the surf.
They are enjoying their first Christmas here with us.
I have included some pictures of them.
Thanks for making our family complete!

Hi Marilyn,
I wanted to give you an update on Bailey. Offhand I am not sure who mom and dad were but she is in your fav. Puppy photos on your site. She is second to last picture (tiger spotted blanket) and she is second from the right. =)
She keeps our 9 year old Lab in check. And is also a "mommy" to him. When he is having a bad day, she mothers him. It is pretty funny to watch. And she loves to annoy men. My husband and son get licked and jumped on until they say that they give up and then she leaves them alone. When I get home from work, she will jump up with her paws on my chest and give me a quick kiss and off she goes. Thank you so much for my little girl. (Although she will be 3 in December..=)

Hi Marilyn,
I just wanted to
give you an update on Savannah. She is a great puppy, hardly
gets into trouble, very calm and loving. She is the spitting
image of her father, Klondike. I can't believe how much she
looks like him, she is turning into a beautiful dog. We are
still taking obedience classes, right now we are in attention
class and probably in late summer we will begin obedience
trials. She took 3rd place in the beginner's obedience
class and she was 1 of 2 puppies in the class the rest were
adult dogs. She is also in agility classes, she loves agility.
We are also working on duck retrieving, right now we are just
working with the rubber bumper, we haven't made it up to
retrieving ducks quite yet. She is one busy little puppy but
she loves to work. We are still involve in our local Search &
Rescue team, she is doing great with that also and eventually I
will get a tracking title under her belt. Our Search & Rescue
group will be features sometime soon in our local newspaper so I
will have to send a copy of the photo to you. Thanks again for
such a great puppy, we couldn't have asked for a better dog.
Take Care,

Here are the pics of Tink. :)
Marilyn,
I wanted to send you some photos of my pup. He has gotten so big it
is unbelievable. He is a good dog, only problem is - he loves to
bite. Any suggestions. Nuggett is from Star and Captain Morgan's
liter. My son came home from Florida on his spring break to see the
puppy. Most college kids go to Florida for spring break, he came to
PA for spring break to see the pup. Hope all is well. Happy Spring
and Happy Easter.

Hi Marilyn
Just thought you might like to a recent picture of Barley. He is doing
great, and has become part of us! Remember that his parents were Pinkie and
Klondike. Thanks again for such a great pet.

Thanks for the quick response! I will be
sending you new pics of Toby....He will be 2 years old on May 23 and I know
we will have new Birthday pictures! He is so agreeable he will not mind
wearing a birthday hat! I look at your website often and found it
interesting that Tobys' Grandma---Willow will be having the next litter!
Toby looks so much like Willow!

Hi Marilyn
Just checking in to let you know "Barley" is doing
great!! Our Boxer, Sadie, is making the adjustment too. She is doing even
better than we expected. We took Barley to the vet today where he received
a great report. He does, however, have some round worms still, so he will
get more medicine for that. The vet asked me to clarify with you when the
last distemper vaccine was given. His record said Nov. 19th but that would
be impossible since he was with us then! The vet also told us he was going
to be a big boy because he is 22.8 lbs. now! She estimates approx 70 lbs!
I am attaching a photo so you can see him in his new home.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
The Etzler's

I had to send you a quick email and share with you how wonderful Jack (green band) is with us. It was a good sign when we left your home and he was curled up in the back seat sound asleep until we got home.

Here is a pictures of our family with Rudy – she is now 1 ½ years old. A great dog – lots of energy, still training, but an incredible personality!
Thanks again. Couldn’t imagine life without her.
We hope you have a Blessed Holiday!

Hi Marilyn,
Sebastian is doing great and loves life in State
College. He has already met the Nittany Lion after trotting (and being
carried) a 5K at 10 weeks. He is a well behaved and absolutely beautiful
puppy who loves the snow and his favorite little Santa. He took a trip to
Connecticut for Thanksgiving and had the time of his life at the beach with
my family. My friends have determined that Sebastian has the best possible
life - his only problem is getting tired from playing with everyone all day
long. Thank you so much for everything and I will keep you updated as
Sebastian grows up.

Hi Marilyn.. Just wanted to send a picture of
Marvin ( light blue pup
from Captain and Stars litter last January 2007). He is almost
approaching that one year mark! I can't believe it as it seems like
yesterday he was just a little guy. He is bigger than his big brother(
Cooper) now. Cooper, my lab, had to go in for surgery and Marvin was so
lost and depressed until his big brother came back from the vet. What a
sweetie... This picture was taken at Halloween. I have to say he is the
best looking Golden I have ever seen :). I tell him all the time he is
handsome just like his Dad. Hope all is well . I see Star is having
another litter soon. I bet they will be beautiful just like the last!
Take care

Hey Marilyn,
I just wanted to send you some pictures of Sadie (
silver in Lala's July 29th litter). She has been such
a blessing. I don't know if you remember when we
picked her up you brought Captain Morgan in and my mom
said how much he looked like her golden Clarence. Well
sadly about a month after we got her Clarence passed
away at 10 yrs. They were best buds, Sadie just loved
him. It's been really hard on the whole family, but
Sadie has helped them cope so well. She is an angel.
And everyone that meets her just adores her. So thank
you for a wonderful golden. I can't see ever getting a
dog from anyone but you.
Love,
Laura

Hi Marilyn,
We are the Brennan's, we have one of the puppies from Magic and Blue's
litter from May 2006. Well as you know she is not
a puppy in size anymore, but still looks for trouble whenever she can. Our
family absolutely love the new addition
and we would like to share some pictures of Katie and our
family. Hope you enjoy them and feel free to share them on
your website.
Thank you

Hi Marilyn:

Dear Marilyn,
We a celebrating Caleb's (aka blackfoot from last Nov 6th litter) 1st
birthday today. He is such a character always doing things to make us
laugh. Everyone he meets is instantly won over with his playful personality
and his distinctive black paw. He is a real joy to have around.Thank you and
take care!

Just a few pics of our beautiful puppy whom you knew as purple...now his name is Harley. He's really funny and keeping us very entertained. Thank you.

Marilyn,

Hi Marilyn, I haven’t e-mailed you in about a year and I wanted to send some updated pictures of Riley since she is going to be 2 next Monday. And I don’t think I e-mailed you after her surgery which went very well and you would never know she had her knee fixed.
As you can see from her pictures she is beautiful and we love her so much. The one picture with the Rotty he is our neighbor’s dog who comes and plays with Riley. She loves to play with other dogs.
Thank you again you breed great Golden’s J

Hi Marilyn,
The puppies have adjusted exceptionally well to
their new home. They
are absolutely adorable! House training is going really well, only a
couple of accidents each. Both puppies know how to sit. They play
really hard with each other, but my Vet told me that's normal. Dave,
the kids, and I are so happy they both have joined our family and our
very active home! We gave them both a Big Kiss from you!
The first two pictures are Lexie Lu and Simba (Blu and Magic's
puppies) playing outside. The third picuture is precious Simba and
the fourth picture is precious Lexie Lu.
Thanks again for our two new additions,
Michele
I attached some pictures of Teddy. In the one picture,
he was rolling in the mud after a swim. His favorite thing to do is to go
swimming and then roll in the mud afterwards. In the other picture, he is
playing with some trash (another favorite hobby of his). He also loves to
cuddle with us, as you can see in the one picture. He is doing so well here.
His days are very full of activities, he walks, swims, we even bought him a
dog bike cart that he rides in while we go biking. Everyone that has ever
met him thinks he is the best puppy ever. He is so well-behaved, slept
through the night from the start, and was potty trained within a few days.
We couldn't have asked for a better dog!
Well send more pictures when he gets a little bigger.

Hi Marilyn
I wanted to keep you updated on Henry. Henry was part of the Blu and
Chablee liter in July of 2000. He just turned 7 and still has the spirit of
a puppy! He is sooo beatiful and of course everyone always tells us that he
looks like a show dog. There is also a picture of Henry with his sister
Daisy who we got at the Golden Retriever Rescue of Central Pennsylvania. We
moved to Illinois last year due to our teaching jobs. We purchased Henry
when we were in State College in graduate school.
I wanted to let you know how happy we are with Henry - he has the best
attitude and boy is he smart! He always causes people to smile.
I will try to keep in touch

Marilyn,
Dear Marilyn,
Just wanted to let you know that Murphy is doing just great. He loves his
crate. He has slept very good during the night. He never cried. The only
reason he got up during the night was because the kids came home. But he
only went out for a few minutes and within a half an hour he was back in his
crate asleep. No messes in the house so far. He loves our yard. Sammy is
getting along with him better than I expected. He (Sammy) was afraid of him
(Murphy)at first but is now starting to actually play with him. Murphy is
also starting to respond to his name. They are such a smart breed. I can't
thank you enough. Will send you pictures as he grows.
Thanks again,
Jim and Mary Hoover
In any case, Homer is very active and learns quickly, sometimes too quickly. He likes to make everything a game.
Attached are some of Homers favorite things. 1 – The laundry basket, he longs to sneak up and take out some clean socks.
2 – His favorite toy, a pull toy that he likes to swing around and make noise hitting the floor.
3 – Laying on the couch and watching us going up and down the stairs.
I do get a lot of inquires about where I got such a wonderful puppy. I hope you don’t mind, but I give out your website to all that ask.

Hi Marilyn~ Thought you would like an update on Marvin. He was the light blue on Star and Captain Morgan litter. What a great puppy! He slept through the night his first night. I have never had a pup do that! He loves his big brother and boy do they play hard! It is hilarious to see the difference between him and Cooper. Cooper never stops moving and Marvin does everything in sloooooooow motion LOL. He has the face of an angel so you never can get mad at him even when he eats your shoe( yes he ATE my shoe LOL) I keep telling him he is a retriever but when I throw the ball he just looks at me LOL .Cooper doesn’t mind because he doesn’t have to fight for the ball. His testicle never did come down so we are preparing for a more extensive neutering in the next few weeks. I will keep you updated. He really is a sweet little boy. Thanks again

Hello Marilyn,
Here is Lola (Willow’s pup) at 10 wks old and nearly 25 lbs. We are crazy about her; so cute and really very smart. She sits, stays, jumps on command; and when we call her to come, she actually listens; unless she has something in her mouth that she refuses to give up. We have to play chase with her to get stuff like that back. She runs unbelievably fast too. When we let her out in the yard, I almost get dizzy watching her run in circles. We are always getting compliments on how beautiful our puppy is. We’ll update you with pictures from time to time. Oh, almost forgot; this “smarty pants” climbs over her gate. That didn’t take long.
Thanks so much for everything.

Marilyn,
Today is Leia's birthday (Meringue and Blu's litter). I think she's had a
great day. First she went for a bath. They hung a sign in the "spa" window
announcing her birthday. Then she had a play date with her best friends Oso
and Otto. She even got some presents. She brought treats to share with her
friends. Now she is "hanging out" with her Mom and Dad.
What I am trying to say is that Leia is our absolute joy. We try to give
her as much joy as she brings us. It is hard to believe that just one year
ago we were checking your website hourly to see if the pups were born and
then booking our hotel in Altoona. Thank you so very much for our Leia. We
think she looks just like her mom Meringue!
Pictures to follow.

Hi Marilyn,
Just wanted to drop you note to say hi, and to let you know our "former"
puppy, and now "big girl" is doing great. It is appropriate that I send you
this letter today since it was the day our other beloved Golden, Sabrina,
was taken from us way too soon. We thought our hearts were going to break
when she past away, and that no dog could ever replace her. We'll, no dog
could ever replace her, but, our little Mia has done a great job in helping
to at least mend a piece of our broken hearts.
Little Mia is a puppy from Blu and Willow, and was born on 6/6/06. Yup, and
she is every bit the devil, but a beautiful, happy, and very health little
devil. She loves riding in the car and sticking her head out of the window
(with doggie seat belt of course..), and it's fun to see people's faces, and
the smiles she brings to them. She is a great swimmer, and loves swimming
after ducks in one of the many lakes in Princeton. I have to tell you, she
is as smart as she is beautiful (looks just like Willow), and was learning
tricks and healing at a very young age. She has really brought joy into our
lives, and keeps our cat "Kitty" on her toes.
Although it took us 4 hours or so to get to you, it was worth every mile.
Mia has helped fill a hole that we thought would be empty forever. Thanks so
much for breeding such good dogs. Judging by other customer's comments, they
feel the same way as us.
Regards,
Jim Elia
Marilyn,
Our Zoey celebrated her third birthday on Dec 09, 2006.We love her dearly. Attached is a photo that I think says a lot about her disposition.
She is one of the gentlest golden that I have ever met.
Thank you so much for her.

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for the Christmas puzzle, Kevin really enjoyed it. Did you receive our Christmas card with Truman? You have no idea how much we love this dog. He is such a joy, and I can’t believe how smart he is. I work from home and Truman is by my side most of the day. Harold says he’s my shadow. Well, he is until Kevin gets home from school, LOL!
We were so sad when we lost Clifford, but Truman has melted our hearts. Their personalities are very different, but they are each special in their own way. Thank you so much for once again providing us with a wonderful dog. I can’t believe he’s 10 months old already. It must be very rewarding for you knowing that your puppies are bringing such happiness to so many families.
I wish you and your family a very blessed Christmas,
Take a look at our crazy dog who likes to go down the sliding board. The
girl pictured in the blue tee shirt is Rachel, Kali's walker who comes by
each afternoon to take her out. The little boy is her brother, Tyler. They
are SO good to her!!! It makes me laugh to know that my dog is outside
enjoying the beautiful day, playing at the park while I'm stuck inside at my
cubicle. At least she gets to enjoy the sunshine! LOL...
Kali will be 4 months old tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Meet Cody
Hi, there!
My name is Lynda and I bought a golden from you about
a year ago. Well, you asked me to send you some
pictures of our boy, so now I am obliging! Check out
this web site:
Click on Hunter and you'll see the best shots we have of him. Really, we love him so much. I am surprised at how obedient he is. He picks up on things so well that sometimes we think he actually understands English! He loves *everyone*. That's one of our problems. He just gets so full of love and puppies when he meets someone new that he totally forgets himself. Luckily, he does not jump up, but he has been known to paw. Most of the time he just parades around with a toy in his mouth and growling for attention. LOL, I could go on about him for days! Anyway, if you want to take some pics from the site for your happy customer page, you're welcome to them .BTW, he's a very big boy -- just about 100 pounds, but I could not imagine a more gentle animal. He can whack his head off the coffee table chasing the cat, but it doesn't faze him. You should see him play with the cat -- such a soft mouth! He *gums* the cat, lol! Actually, he lets the cat win. One hiss from Alex, and Hunter backs off and lays down. Well, I just wanted you to see him and see that he's doing really well. We love him more than anything and he spends a lot of time curled up on the couch next to us . . . or wrestling . . . or chewing!
I'm sending you a bonus pic. This one hasn't made itto the website yet.
Thanks again,
Lynda Lampert

Hi Marilyn,
I hope you are able to receive this message. I have tried in the past to email you but it hasn’t worked out. I just wanted to let you know how our family dog is doing. We have one of the puppies from Rachael and Blu that were born in January of 2005. Her name is Kelly (full name Kelly Rachael of Warrington). She is 11 months old and just went in to heat this week. We are planning on having her spayed, but I have read and heard that it’s better for the health of the dog if they go through one heat before they are spayed. So far it’s not too bad. We are keeping one of those “diaper” type pant on her and she doesn’t seem to mind.
We are very happy with her. She had turned out to be a very good, loyal dog. She of course went through that “puppy” stage, and really, is still in it and I suspect will be for quite some time. She really is pretty well behaved considering stories I’ve heard from other dog owners. She has become very attached to me and seems to be at my side always….in fact, she’s laying down next to me as I’m writing this.
I’m attaching a few pictures so you can see what a beautiful dog she has become. We always get compliments about how beautiful she is when we have her out with us.
That’s about all for now. I see you have a couple new litters so I’m sure you’re pretty busy. Have a great holiday!
Maureen Carter
Hi Marilyn, here is the Christmas photo of Me, Terry and Riley. Riley is getting so big and we just love her to death. I think she is finally house trained. We can’t wait for my husband’s family to meet her, they live in Pittsburgh and we will be there for the holiday.
I hope you have a safe and happy holiday.

Hi Marilyn!
Hailie (black tail) is doing very well! She stopped crying after the first two or three nights. We are just having the standard puppy stressors (housebreaking, chewing, etc.), but overall she is a very good girl. Everyone is impressed with how friendly and gentle she is...she even met a baby last week and was very good with her even though I was a nervous wreck (the BABY'S mom was fine with it). We are trying to figure out how to get a picture on here with our new camera so we will send you one eventually...she is already so big compared to when we got her! She gets her next round of shots next week and at the last visit the vet said she was in very good health, not even any worms. Hope you are doing well with all the other puppies!
Sincerely,
Kaitlin and Dave Remensky

Hi Marilyn!
We wanted to write to you and send you a few updated photos of our BEAUTIFUL Taffy!! We got her from one of your litters in the summer of 2003. I believe Blue and Chablee are her parents.
She is the BEST dog in the world!! We couldn’t be more pleased with how she turned out!! She is gorgeous, very loving, gentle, so sweet, smart, and playful!! She is a great companion and we get stopped everywhere we go. Everyone wants to know where we got her and they say how beautiful she is. As you can see from our photos, you should be very proud of her and the great Golden you have blessed us with. We absolutely LOVE her!!! She is so sweet; it’s hard to believe she isn’t human! We are hooked on Goldens and would recommend your puppies to anyone interested. Thanks again for a great dog and family member! She is also registered online at www.dogshowusa.com for “Cutest Face”. You can view her photos and bio by selecting “Dog Gallery”.

Hi Marilyn, I have attached pictures of Riley on Halloween and with her toy golden. Terry and I just love her to death. She loves to be held; I think she thinks she is going to be a lap dog J We have introduced her to some of the dogs in the neighborhood and she loves to play with them. We have taken her for her 2nd round of shots and the 3rd round of shots will be next week. Our vet says she has a very good temperament, I agree.
My husband has taught her to sit, stay and lay down which of course she does very well for treats. She also loves ice cubes. The house training is coming along slowly, she will be good for about a week then all of a sudden she has an accident but that’s OK she is still a baby.I will keep you updated and thank you so much for her. She has really made us very happy to have her part of our family J
Thanks,
Theresa and Terry Miller

Marilyn,
We can not thank you enough for allowing us to have one of your beautiful goldens. We just love her to bits. She has adjusted well to her new home and has made friends at the puppy play group (only for puppies who do not have all their shots and are under the care of the same doctor). Everyone tells us she the cutest thing they ever seen. She's just under 12 lbs and has recently discovered her tail.
Attached are a few pictures. We will send more.

Dear Marilyn,
Here is a recent picture of our beauty, one of your puppies from Shasta & Blue's
litter
that was born in October 2004. She LOVES our sun room and LOVES to watch for the
rabbits.
When she sees one and we let her out, she is "fast as the wind" running after
them. I have
to hold my breath as sometimes I think she will actually catch one, she is THAT
FAST! She
also still loves to chase butterflies!
She is our joy and EVERYONE comments about how pretty she is when we take her
out (in the
car, for a walk, etc.). Our family and friends also comment on her beauty, but
also make
a comment about how "calm" she is and how "smart" she is ----- and they don't
even know
the half of her wonderful disposition and her intelligence!!
We thank you so very much and think of you often and check your web site
frequently, as we
LOVE to see all your new "babies". We are even thinking that when Shannon gets a
little
older (she is 1 1/2 now), when she is about 3, of getting another one of your
"beautiful
bundles of joy" to come and be her "sister" or "brother"!!
We will keep you posted!!

Marilyn,
I’m sending you several pictures of Lula since we got her in January. There are a couple with our Corgi, Sonar, who is her major companion. There is one of her on the beach. She has become a big part of the family and we appreciate having her as I’m sure most of your customers tell you. I doubt if you remember, but when we picked her up we were having second thoughts because we knew how much work it would be and it was every bit as much as we remembered. However, it was worth it. She’s great. Thanks.
Sincerely,

Hi Marilyn, I know you like to hear from "your families" from time to time.
We picked up our female golden "Sadie" on Valentines' Day and I've attached a
picture
Sadie is doing great, she was almost house-trained when we got her home and it
took her about a week to train us about when she wanted to go out to the deck
and yard we have fenced off for the dogs. The vet was amazed at her and asked
where we got her, so you might get a few more inquiries from southeastern PA.
She's a very healthy, happy dog with a great demeanor. She likes to wrestle
with our daughter's Rottweiler and is making it more of a contest every day.
She loves chasing the squirrels when they get on the bird feeder and I let the
dogs out the back door.

Hi Marilyn,
Just wanted to say hello and tell you how happy I am to have gussy with me. He is a lot of fun, he has such a great temperament and is very curious. He can already do all the stairs in the house and sneak his way out of his crate and/or gate. He will definitely keep me on my toes. Thanks again and I will send the contract out to you soon.

Hi Marilyn
Just wanted to let you know we are enjoying "Greta" very
much. She is so sweet!
Her house training is doing pretty good. She does go to
the door and whimper most the time and she is getting used
to her crate - she settles pretty quickly and sleeps about
6-7 hours a night.
I will send some pictures as soon as i have one of my kids
show me how! I'm not too great on the computer as far as
sending attachments!
Thanks again!

Hi Marilyn,
Just took a look at your website...congratulations on your newest litter! I
am sending you some pictures of Daisy, but wanted to boast about how sweet
and how smart she is! In 2 days, she learned the "Come Daisy", sit, and lie
down commands! She also in about 10 days made the connection between
standing next to the baby gate (when we want to keep her in the kitchen with
us!) and going outside to go potty! Now we ask her if she has to go potty
and she runs to the front door! In all my years of Goldens and Labs, I have
never had a puppy who learned so quickly and one who is so young (just 9
weeks old)! Just to make the associations so quickly! She is a real charmer
and everyone who meets her falls in love with her....especially since she
looks like a stuffed animal! And what a sweet disposition! She is pretty
vocal but I guess she has a lot to say!
How are the puppies? How is Chablee and all the other doggies? Drew starts
3rd grade on Tuesday, so life should "quiet" down a bit next week! Hope all
is well!
Take care,
Wendy Hautzinger
This is Cedar, she is bringing in the floater in picture one, pictures 2-4 you can see that she has mastered the fete of getting on the floater all by herself!!!!!!!!
Hi Marilyn,
I just wanted to send you a quick update on McKinley. She made the
long 7 hour ride home without any major problems. She had an accident
immediately out of your driveway and then made it to within 10 minutes of
my house without another one. She's very vocal. She didn't like the crate
very much so I had a few sleepless nights. I stayed home with her all of
last week to bond with her. She pretty much knows her name and can sit.
We're still working on the consistent come command.
I did notice that she had some fleas the first weekend that I had her
home so I called my vet and got the ok to put her and my cats on Frontline.
I also brought her in for a physical and a clean bill of health. She had
some round worms but other than that the vet was very pleased with her.
She definitely has a very outgoing personality. She's stubborn and very
vocal but I think with some consistent training she's going to be great.
We're also working on the biting right now too!
She's getting along great with the 2 cats and is really starting to adjust
nicely to the new surroundings. She's very comfortable in my yard and the
kitchen and is just dying to get into the other rooms of the house.
Here's a picture from last week.
Thanks for everything. I'll keep you posted on her progress!

We just wanted to update you about our little love, Shannon, one of Shasta &
Blue's
October 16, 2004 litter. I saw on you web site that you were keeping the "Gold
Band Puppy"
from the most recent litter and she is a beauty, just like our Shannon, who was
the "Gold
Band Puppy" from her litter!!
We just returned from our beach vacation in North Carolina and Shannon (now 9
months old)
did BEAUTIFULLY!!!! We were very nervous as it was last year in NC that we lost
our 8 1/2
year old male golden, Seamus, on the second day of our vacation to "bloat". To
take every
precaution, we took Shannon to the vet before our trip to get some advice and a
"once
over" before we took the trip this year. She weighed in at 50 pounds. SHANNON
WAS
WONDERFUL!!! She slept most of the way down and back, in between every 3 hour
rest stops,
on our 10 hour ride. She loved watching the Pelicans and Sea Gulls (once she
discovered
them) and loved walking on the beach in the water! She did not like the incoming
waves and
would run from them but once they were receding, she would run into the shallow
water!!
She also loved to dig in the sand!!!
I have attached some photos of her at the beach. We thank God for her, and for
you letting
us have her, EVERY DAY!!! She is soooo good, especially for a 9 month old
puppy!! She is
loving and gentle and very calm. Everyone we passed while walking her in the
early morning
on the beach about how beautiful she is and we told them she is beautiful
"inside and
out". And everyone who has been around her has remarked about how good she is
and how calm
and loving she is!!!!
I hope you enjoy the photos, and again THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!!!!!
Sincerely,
Christine & Dennis O'Shaughnessy

Marilyn,
I got your message about our puppy. I wanted to e-mail some pictures to you but I don’t have the most recent ones on the computer. He was the red band one from Dakota and Bennie’s litter. We live in Virginia but my in-laws live in Cresson. We named him “Steelie” after the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a very handsome at 5 months. He likes to chew wood so he has chewed his share of furniture and window sills so far. He is losing his teeth now so I’m hoping the chewing stage is coming to an end. We just got back from a trip to Pennsylvania today. He gets car sick so we can’t take him too many places. So far he doesn’t like to play ball like our other Golden but he likes tug-of-war. We have two boys, 8 and 11. They were so excited to find Steelie under our Christmas tree! They absolutely love him…biting and jumping and all. I’m considering obedience training for him soon. He doesn’t like to be told “no” so he gets slightly angry when we have to correct him for jumping on people or the furniture, etc. I’ll try to send some recent photos of him soon. The picture I attached is not recent but he photographs beautifully! I check your website often to see what is happening. Do you have any information on his litter mates? Dianne
